Dr. Iyad Al-Attar Addressing Air Quality Challenges at Eurovent Summit 2022
"The time for action is now," states Dr. Iyad Al-Attar, WFI Strategic Director at the EUROVENT Summit 2022 (October 25-28) in Antalya, Turkey.
Tremendous pollution requires filtration-intensive solutions to render the built environment "safe to occupy."
We cannot keep old schools of facility management afloat as they continue to embrace the theology of cutting corners, maintenance shortcuts, and thwarting any air quality enhancements.
Inappropriate and insufficient air filtration defeats the intended purpose of enhancing Indoor Air Quality (IAQ).
Pollutants are not just Particulate Matter (PM); they include gaseous and bioaerosols, which would influence the corresponding air filter selection.
Maintenance technicians are challenged and often challenged alone as they lack the appropriate tools and conditions to make a difference in air quality.
Initially, when filtration experts addressed air quality and filtration initiatives, decision-makers decided to leave the conversation rather than lead it. As a result, when the pandemic came about, we needed to flee rather than fight through curfews and lockdowns.
The time for action is now through a purpose that is consciencely heard, equally shared, and professionally served.
Meet Dr. Al-Attar at the Waterloo Filtration Institute 2022 Annual Conference (WFI 2022), December 6-7, 2022, 8:00 am -12:00 pm EST. He will address "Sustainable air filtration and HVAC maintenance measures for healthier built environments."
